My video: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/748057463

Overall: It was fun to a start I think! After a while it got a bit repetitive. Also I needed help to understand how to start the game. I also had some issues with some boxes ending up outside of view and as another commenter said, it would be cool with some hotkeys.

Unexpectedness: Well I didn't expect to have to assemble the playbutton like and IKEA box. Problem is though that it took some time to figure out.

Gameplay innovation: Honestly I liked the whole IKEA furniture feel, it's making me feel like home. Just sad it got a bit repititive after some time. But I think it works as a calm game when you just want to collect stuff in game and not think too much.

Fun: Pretty much the same as written above.

Visuals: Good! I think he looked a bit like sugar paste and it made me a bit hungry. One issue though is that some boxes just kinda hid beyond visibility.

Audio: Game definitely would be nice with some music added to it! Something calm and cozy.

Overall: This was super fun and also super frustrating but I could definitely imagine playing a longer version of this game. However I nearly tore my hair out whenever I got really far and then I accidentally turned and I needed to jump all the way back to change my direction back again. Still somehow I liked that, it made me have to think through my choices as I jump, so maybe if there are more spots once you get up on the surface to change your direction?

Unexpectedness: I definitely didn't expect that I (Cher voice) could turn back time, but wasn't that written in the instructions below the game?

Gameplay innovation: Definitely never seen anything like this before. Love the ways you could use the timetravelling properties to your advantage. It felt like a strategic game in the ways you had to think through your choices before you make them.

Fun: Definitely one of my favorites from this jam, except when I was at the top and I kept accidentally turning myself the wrong direction and I had to jump back and fix it.

Visuals: It was pretty and I loved the look of the penguin! If you make the rest in a similar style this game would be GORGEOUS.

Audio: I'm missing some music in this game!

My gameplay: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/748057463 (My face froze.. Ignore that)

Overall: I am sorry if I come off as harsh. I am not sure if there was something I misunderstood with this game, if I played it incorrectly or if there was a big happening. What happened to me each time I tried (I even tried off camera later) was that the second player would remove both X and O at the start and then it was a normal tic tac toe game, with the cool aspect of a expanding board.

Unexpectedness: I was mainly confused by the disappearing X and O at the start, other than that nothing else unexpected happened. Is it supposed to happen several times? If it did then I think this could turn into a real cool game.

Gameplay Innovation: I like the expanding board! I often feel when playing the original board that in the end you start to run out of space. I'd love a multiplayer!

Fun: It's tic tac toe which is a fun game on its own. In my gameplay I didn't get much of a spin on it unfortunately.

Visuals: Visuals are great! I think it's really well made.

Audio: I feel like I'm missing some music.

My playthrough: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/743149716

Overall: Cozy game with a lot of personality. Very unique and honestly I loved most of it, I just wasn't much of a fan of the ending.

Unexpectedness: I mean I didn't expect jumping into a volcano, but it mostly felt random and not something that to me made the game stick out. At first I thought you'd work more on the theme of sacrifice that was hinted at in the beginning, that'd definitely make it more unexpected considering the coziness of this game.

Gameplay innovation: It was original and cozy. I really liked it. It had a certain aesthetic feel to it. However I did have some difficulties moving around, you wrote to me saying it was related to the bitrate so it might have been my own computer. But I really had to fight my way up that mountain.

Fun: Super cozy, one of the games that really stuck to me.

Visuals: I liked it, but the blurriness that showed the second I stood still kinda gave me a headache.

Audio: Coooozy. Suits the game.

My playthrough: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/743149716

Overall: I'm sorry if I come off as harsh sometimes.
I had a bit of a mixed feeling about this game, but I definitely think that with some work it'd be absolutely amazing, I think it was frustrating as hell (I think I said I hate the game at some point, but what I mean is that I'm frustrated that I'm dying all the time hahahahha) but it was definitely fun enough that I NEEDED to finish the levels. However I'm a bit worried about the fact that you used Mario boxes and sounds, I think that's how Flappy Bird got banned.

Unexpectedness: I swear when that black thing hit me in the face... And the first time I was kinda sent off into the moon. Anything could happen once I set my foot on those platforms.

Gameplay innovation: Very original! Can't think of another game like it.

Fun: It was fun and frustrating at the same time. But you just kinda HAD TO beat it. Like I cannot let this game win.

Visuals: As I mentioned above, I'm worried about you using Mario stuff, as they are licenced.

Audio: Same goes for audio. But you also used other sounds, and those I felt really suited the game.

My twitch video: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/743149716

  • Overall: 4/5
  • Unexpectedness: I decided that this is gonna be a great game the second I was given a bazooka. I definitely did NOT expect that.
  • Gameplay Innovation:  Never seen a game where I'm a duck blasting myself around with a bazooka before, I'll give you that. I enjoyed every moment of it.
  • Fun: This was absolutely hilarious and I felt I could've continued for a way longer time than the duration of the game. And I enjoyed that the narrator was constantly berating me.
  • Visuals: I mean it's not impressive in terms of visuals, but I'm not sure I think it needs to be. It was a bit monotone though, maybe would've been nice with some more colours.
  • Audio: I liked the music. It was calming which was nice to have in the background as you were concentrating on the exact right angle to blast yourself over deadly spikes.

SPOILERS AHEAD:

My twitch video: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/743099298

  • Overall: 4/5
  • Unexpectedness: I mean I expected Zelda. What came as a shock to me though was how everyone treated me as a lunatic and I couldn't enter any houses. Hilarious. And the part with the hole on my first attempt.. I just stared at my screen for some time in shock.
  • Gameplay Innovation:  I liked that it was a Zelda parody, but then again, it was heavily based on Zelda and it's mechanics, it's not new to me. However, main reason I decided to pick this first in the list was because of the name, so it didn't come as a shock that the mecanics would be similar. Would've appreciated some new twist though! I liked that you used the letters that is the first one in the word to describe the actions, such as c for carry.
  • Fun: I was cracking up throughout the entirety of the game. It was hilarious. Loved the jokes and the randomness of the characters, and how it could relate and refer to the things most Zelda players have done at some point.. such as wanting to smash every pot in a room.
  • Visuals: Another one of the main reasons I picked this game first was how pretty I found it. It gave me the whole pretty anime chibi vibe that my inner weaboo secretly loves.
  • Audio: No voice acting here. Didn't exactly expect it either. I liked the music, it gave me a Zelda vibe without being a copy, which I guess you were aiming for.
